nametrader is built the way a domain should be bought: the owner on the other side, a straight answer, and money that only moves through escrow.
The nametrader collection
The collection was assembled one word at a time, much of it on .si before that ending became fashionable: dictionary words that say the whole idea, precise compounds that sound established on day one, technical words for products that didn’t exist yet, and short coined handles with room to grow.
Every name in it belongs to Briggs, and every offer on them is read and answered by him, usually within a day.
The marketplace
Owners list their own names next to the collection. Before a name appears, its owner proves they control it, by pointing it to our nameservers or adding one DNS record, and it comes down if that stops being true.
Buyers deal with owners directly and pay through a licensed escrow service. nametrader never holds your money, and charges buyers nothing.
