How buying works.
Four steps, the owner on the other side, and your money protected by escrow the whole way.
Find it
Search or browse every name, filter by ending, price and length, and save the ones you like to your watchlist.
Offer or buy now
Send an offer from the name’s page, or request it at its buy-now price. Free, no account, nothing committed.
Pay through escrow
Once you agree the price, you pay a licensed escrow service such as Escrow.com. The seller can’t touch it yet.
Receive the name
The name moves to your registrar account; escrow then releases the money to the seller.

Questions buyers ask
Who am I buying from?
From the name’s owner. Names in the nametrader collection belong to Briggs; every other name is listed by its owner, who proved they control it before it appeared here. Your offer goes straight to them.
How do I pay, and is it safe?
Once you agree a price, you pay a licensed escrow service such as Escrow.com. The name is moved to your registrar account first, and only then does escrow release the money to the seller. nametrader never holds your funds.
Does it cost anything to make an offer?
No. Offers are free and commit you to nothing, and nametrader charges buyers no fees. You pay only the agreed price, through escrow.
What does “Buy now” mean?
The owner has set a fixed price. Request the name at that price from its page; the owner confirms by email and you complete the purchase through escrow.
How long does a transfer take?
Usually a day or two after escrow receives the payment, depending on the registrars involved. Names from the collection are typically moved within 48 hours.
Can I make one offer on several names?
Yes. Save names to your watchlist with the heart, open the watchlist and use “Make one offer” to send a single offer for all of them.
Which escrow service is used?
A licensed escrow service agreed with you for each deal, so both sides are protected. If you or your company already work with one, say so in your offer.
Do I need an account?
No. An offer is a short form and an email address; the conversation continues by email, directly with Briggs.
