nametrader

Sell your domains where buyers already look.

List your names next to a hand-picked collection of rare names, whatever the ending. Each one gets its own page and offer form, and its own sale page on its own address if you point it to us. Offers come straight to you.

  1. Add your domains

Create a free account and paste them in, one or a thousand. Set a buy-now price or take offers.

  2. Prove they’re yours

Point the nameservers to ns1/ns2.nametrader.com, or add one TXT record. We check on our own; a name goes live the moment it’s proven.

  3. Answer buyers

Offers land in your dashboard with the buyer’s email. Agree the price, close through a licensed escrow service.

What every listing gets

A page for every name
The name set large, its letters and sound, buy now or make an offer, and similar names around it. Fast on every phone.
A sale page on its own address
Point a domain’s nameservers to us and its own address shows its sale page, with HTTPS, without you building anything.
Search that finds it
Every buyer’s search runs across all names instantly and forgives typos, so your name shows up when it should.
Views and offers
Every offer with the buyer’s email, and how many people looked at each name in the last 30 days.
No middleman
You talk to the buyer directly and agree your own price. Your domains stay at your registrar, in your account.
Free while in beta
No listing fee and no commission during the beta. You keep the whole price.

Questions sellers ask

Do I have to move my domains?

No. They stay at your registrar, in your account. Pointing the nameservers to us only changes what the address shows; you can point them back at any time.

My domain has email or a website. What then?

Use the TXT record instead of the nameservers. Changing nameservers replaces your DNS, which would stop that email or website; a TXT record changes nothing else.

Who handles the payment?

You and the buyer, through a licensed escrow service such as Escrow.com: the buyer pays escrow, you move the name, escrow pays you. nametrader never holds the money.

What does listing cost?

Nothing while the marketplace is in beta: no listing fee and no commission.

What can’t be listed?

Domains you don’t control, names built on someone else’s trademark, and subdomains. A name stops showing if it’s no longer proven yours, for example after it’s sold elsewhere.
